POLICIES & LEGAL INFO (BGL / Blues Guitar Lab)

Last Updated: [2026-2-4]

This page (“Policies”) forms part of the BGL (Blues Guitar Lab) Terms of Use and is incorporated by reference. In the event of conflict, the Terms of Use control except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

This page covers:

- Contact & Support

- Refunds, Trials & Cancellation (Teachable Checkout)

- Seller Information (Legal Disclosure Requests)

1) CONTACT & SUPPORT

We aim to respond as soon as reasonably possible. Response times may vary during peak periods.

2) REFUNDS, TRIALS & CANCELLATION

2.1 Purchases Covered

These policies apply to purchases made through our official Teachable checkout for BGL products and subscriptions (“Teachable Checkout”).

If you purchased via a third-party platform (e.g., Patreon) or via any external checkout not operated through Teachable Checkout, those purchases are governed by the third party’s terms and refund processes.

2.2 Refund Eligibility (Teachable Checkout)

Our refund policy is aligned with Teachable’s standard student refund framework for Teachable-native payments:

A) Course Purchases (if applicable)

- Refund requests are generally eligible within 14 days from the date of purchase.

B) Subscriptions (Membership)

- You may cancel your subscription at any time.

- If you cancel within 14 days of your initial subscription payment, you may be eligible for a full refund of that initial payment.

- Renewal charges (payments after the initial payment) are generally non-refundable, unless required by law or we explicitly approve an exception in writing.

C) Requests After 14 Days / Platform Limitations

- Requests made after 14 days from purchase/initial payment are typically not eligible for a standard refund.

- In limited cases, we may consider goodwill exceptions at our discretion, subject to platform/payment processor limitations.

- Refunds after long periods may be unavailable due to platform rules (including limitations after 180 days).

Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.

2.3 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please submit the refund request form with the following information:

- Your name

- The email address used for your purchase/account

- Order number (if you have it)

- Purchase date

- The product/subscription you want refunded

- A brief reason (optional but helpful)

If approved, refunds are typically issued back to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on banks and payment providers.

Important:

- A refund does NOT automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel separately (see Section 2.5).

2.4 Free Trials (If Offered)

If we offer a free trial for a subscription plan:

- Trial eligibility, duration, and conversion terms will be shown at checkout.

- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged automatically at the end of the trial.

- Cancelling during the trial prevents the first charge; it does not necessarily remove access immediately (access behavior may vary by platform settings).

2.5 Cancellation / How to Cancel

To cancel a subscription purchased via Teachable Checkout:

1) Log in to your BGL/Teachable account.

2) Go to your account settings / subscriptions or billing area.

3) Select the subscription you want to cancel and confirm cancellation.

Cancellation stops future renewals. In most cases, your access remains active until the end of your current billing period.

Refunds (if any) follow the rules in Section 2.2.

If you cannot find the cancellation option, please contact us via the support form, and we will help guide you.

3) SELLER INFORMATION (LEGAL DISCLOSURE REQUESTS)

BGL operates using a brand name. Certain seller information may be required to be provided to consumers under applicable law (e.g., legal name, address, and phone number).

If you request the legally required seller information, we will provide it without delay by email before you complete your purchase, as described below.

How to request seller information:

- Email form

- Subject line: “Seller Information Request”

- Please include the country/region you are purchasing from and the product/subscription you intend to purchase.

We will reply with the legally required seller information as soon as reasonably possible.

Note: This section is intended to provide a clear method to request legally required seller information prior to purchase.

4) UPDATES TO THESE POLICIES

We may update these Policies from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may be communicated via the Service or email where appropriate.
