BGL (Blues Guitar Lab) – Terms of Use

Last Updated: [2026-2-4]

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BGL website(s), school page(s), learning materials, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Operator and Contact

The Service is provided under the brand name “BGL (Blues Guitar Lab)” (“BGL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Support form

Required seller information (including legal name, address, and phone number) will be provided without delay upon request, as described on our Policies / Legal Info page.

2. The Service

BGL provides digital educational content related to blues guitar, including video lessons, tablature (“tabs”), practice materials, and related resources (“Content”).

We may update, rotate, add, remove, or modify Content and features at any time. We do not guarantee that any specific Content will remain available indefinitely.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to purchase subscriptions.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You may not share your account access with others.

4. License and Acceptable Use

4.1 Limited License

Subject to these Terms and your compliance with all applicable policies, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Content for your own non-commercial learning.

4.2 Restrictions

You may not:

(a) share, resell, sublicense, or distribute the Content or your account access;

(b) copy, rip, download (except where explicitly enabled), record, reproduce, or publicly display the Content outside the Service;

(c) remove watermarks or copyright notices, or circumvent paywalls, access controls, DRM, or other security measures;

(d) scrape, harvest, or use automated means to access the Service at scale;

(e) use the Service or Content to develop or train competing content libraries, datasets, or products (including large-scale scraping or dataset creation);

(f) use the Service in any unlawful manner.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Third-Party Platforms and Links (Including Payment Processing)

Parts of the Service may be delivered, hosted, or billed through third-party platforms (for example, a course platform or payment processor). If you purchase or access any portion of the Service through a third-party platform, billing, cancellation mechanics, and certain access controls may be handled by that platform, and you agree to comply with the third party’s terms in addition to these Terms.

We are not responsible for third-party services (including outages, policy changes, or account actions) beyond our reasonable control.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal

6.1 Auto-Renewal

If you enroll in a subscription plan, your subscription may automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date. Renewal timing and price will be shown at checkout.

6.2 Free Trials

We may offer free trials for certain plans. Trial eligibility, length, and conversion terms will be shown at checkout or in the plan description.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method may be charged automatically at the end of the trial.

6.3 Price Changes

We may change pricing or plan terms from time to time. If your plan is subject to renewal, we will provide notice of material changes where required by applicable law.

6.4 Taxes

Prices may exclude taxes, VAT, or similar charges where applicable.

6.5 Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription through the same platform where you subscribed (e.g., within your account settings on that platform). Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not necessarily refund past charges except as stated in the Refund Policy.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds, money-back guarantees, and trial-related policies (if any) are governed by our Refund Policy and any plan-specific disclosures shown at checkout (together, the “Refund Policy”), available on our policies and legal info page.

Where purchases are processed through a third-party platform’s checkout system, refunds may also be subject to that platform’s rules and technical limitations.

8. EU/UK Consumers – Digital Content and Right of Withdrawal

If you are an EU/UK consumer and you request immediate access to digital content during a statutory withdrawal/cancellation period, you may be required (through the checkout flow) to provide:

(a) express consent to begin supply/performance during the withdrawal/cancellation period; and

(b) acknowledgement that your right to withdraw/cancel may be lost once supply/performance begins,

to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This section does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights.

9. “Lifetime” Access (If Offered)

If a “lifetime” plan is offered, “lifetime” means for as long as we continue to operate and make the Service (or substantially equivalent access to the purchased library) available, not the lifetime of any individual.

We may modify, replace, or discontinue specific Content, features, or delivery methods over time.

10. Educational Disclaimer

The Service is provided for educational purposes only. Results vary by individual effort, time, and prior experience. We do not guarantee any particular skill improvement, performance outcome, or earning result.

You are responsible for practicing safely and within your physical limits. Stop if you experience pain and consult a qualified professional if needed.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service and Content are owned by BGL or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms) will survive.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BGL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE [3] MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR [USD 100], WHICHEVER IS GREATER, UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BGL from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., by posting an updated effective date or other notice). Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Japan], excluding conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws apply.

Venue: [Tokyo District Court], unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

18. Miscellaneous

Severability: If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the policies referenced on our policies and legal info page and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BGL regarding the Service.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
